Medan/Lake Toba/Berastagi/Tongging Trip 2012

Image
Last week, I went to Medan, Indonesia. It was a very busy city but 4 hours away, there are a few breathtaking views you can see. One of it is the famous Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world. If you're visiting Berastagi and Tongging like I did, you'll get to see the Sipiso-piso Waterfall as well. The journey to see the places in the places below can be a bit rough but there are smooth roads as well.  (View of Lake Toba from Tongging) (The Sipiso-piso Waterfall, Tongging) (View of Tongging Valley) (Eye level view of Lake Toba from Tongging)

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My room, the Deluxe Suite was reasonably sized and priced. I stayed there for two nights and I enjoyed my stay there. On the 26th of May (Saturday), I went to the USS (Universal Studios Singapore) and it was amazing. I enjoyed the rides and experiences there such as the 'Lights, Camera & Action by Steven Spielberg' scene, the 'Transformers ride' that I lined up for 45 minutes but it was with the wait. The 4D theater in the 'Far Far Away Land' was pretty amazing as well. The food there were fantastic. I really love the diner there called 'Mel's Diner', they served true diner food. The diner setting was very retro and groovy. There were some antique cars parked outside the diner just to give the feel of the 60s. I enjoyed the '
